Scholarships

Barry O’Rourke Access Award

Each semester, we award two full scholarships for students to attend FieldWorks & Art on the Farm. These scholarships honor Barry O’Rourke, a much-loved member of our family, and acknowledge how Barry lived his life, full of curiosity, compassion, and kindness.

These scholarships are need-based and must be supported by a portfolio of artwork that demonstrates an advanced practice. We assess student portfolios by determining how the realization of completed artworks reflects a young artist’s curiosities, concerns, experience, and research. We also consider an applicant's background, personal circumstances, and individuals from historically underrepresented groups both here in Ireland and abroad.

Need-based Aid: We determine our need-based aid using a formula based on the expectation of what a family can reasonably contribute to their child’s education. We consider a family’s income, assets, place of residence, and dependents within the household. Along with our application and portfolio requirements, parents will need to submit their most recent tax returns to determine eligibility.

The application deadline for 2024 has passed. Applications will open again in September.
